After experiencing the unexpected loss of our two furry family members, Max & Misty, it was incredibly important to me to receive professional photos of Beau.
Besides Max & Misty's special pet portraits, some of the only ways to remember them is by the photos & short videos we had taken on our phones.
With Beau, our newest furry family member, I want to ensure we take every opportunity to create or hold all of the keepsakes that remind us of him.
That is just one of the reasons why creating a custom pet portrait is more than a job to me. I see these paintings as heartfelt heirlooms.

Planning a photoshoot is just one of the highlights of running Melane & Co. All of our photoshoots take hours of preparation, & each one is special in its own way.
This photoshoot was incredbly meaningful, because I planned it to celebrate Beau's first birthday.
Our pets grow up so quickly, but these photos will always hold these special moments in time.
The Moral of the Blog Post
Our pets only stay little for so long, & this photoshoot, along with creating Beau's portrait, allowed my family & I to have a multitude of keepsakes in honor of our new furry family member - one photo & brushstroke at a time.
